I just purchased a Tag Aquaracer watch from Ebay (I know what you are thinking, but I have always wanted one and couldn't let this one pass me up). It came with the papers, authenticity card, original box, and warranty card. There are a couple of things I am suspicious of and am wondering if any of you guys with this same watch type can help (it has a quartz movement).
The warranty card has not been filled out by the dealer. I have seen some watch dials sweep and not tick. Is this one suppose to tick or sweep? On the back, it has a helmet of a diver and underneath that it has the model number (WAF110) followed by the serial number.
The seller left a salesman card of the person that sold it to him in the box, and I checked on TAG's website and the store that it was purchased from is an authorized dealer. I am going to call the number on this card tomorrow. Can any of you guys let me know if it's real or how to find out if it's real. I would really really really appreciate it.
I already left the seller feedback after having the watch authenticated by a jeweler. He took the links apart and let me know. He's not an official TAG dealer, but I will call the TAG dealer tomorrow.
The Movement of Any Tag watch is a Tick(Not sweeping)
If it has all the paper work and most importantly a serial number-then you're good to go.
Good Idea to call the dealer though, just to make sure.

Whether it ticks or sweeps depends on whether it is an automatic or quartz. Quartz ticks, automatic sweeps. Take it to a jeweller, preferably one that sells Tags. You could also join an internet watch forum and describe how you bought it, as well as pictures of the actual watch you got.
